
CNN has the story of yet
another fire (in a freight train, fortunately) in the Chunnel:
People inside the 50-kilometer (30-mile) tunnel, known as the Chunnel, were evacuated through a service tunnel that runs between the two train-carrying tunnels, Eurotunnel officials said. Passenger and freight trains on the key route linking Britain to mainland Europe have been canceled until Friday at the earliest.
A spokesman for French police in Arras added that the fire is thought to have begun on a lorry which overturned.
In November 1996, there was a fire on a freight service that burned for several hours and caused damage totaling millions of euros.
Rico says they're going to lose one one of these days, and kill a lot of people...
