Bated breath

Fox News has an on-line article about possible vice-presidential candidates for the Democratic Party. With the official announcement at the convention just days away, the list is getting longer:
Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia
Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas
Senator Joe Biden of Delaware
Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana
GOP Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, who traveled with Obama to Iraq and Afghanistan
Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee
Senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut
and
Representative Chet Edwards of Texas, who, in the best tradition of Oscar nominees, said "that he cannot imagine that many Americans would not consider it a privilege to be considered a vice presidential contender." As a moderate from the South, he is seen by some Democrats as someone who could counterweight the liberal Obama.

New York Senator Hillary Clinton is not among the candidates on the short list. Clinton’s name will be submitted for nomination at the Democratic convention next week, a concession Obama’s camp approved to sow some good will with her supporters.
Rico says he had a horrible thought: what if the delegates decide to turn the whole thing on its head and vote for Hillary anyway?
