Before winter

Rico says that Before Winter Comes is not only the date by when he hopes to win the lottery, thus financing a move South to warmer climes, but is also a great movie, which Rico says, in the immortal words of Joe Bob Briggs: check it out. It's also the only comedy about Russian prison camps that Rico knows of:

A comedy, set in a refugee camp in occupied Austria after World War Two. A shrewd multi-lingual interpreter (played by Topol), who mediates between the Russian and British military brass and enters into a friendly rivalry with British Major Giles Burnside (played by David Niven), who is in charge of assigning the displaced persons into either the American or Russian zones.
