From Esquire, a look at what it takes to make Saturday Night Live work:
The opening credit sequence for Saturday Night Live— the one that shows the cast members doing various fun things around New York City while smiling and looking cute— lasts about a minute and forty seconds. For those watching at home, or the next morning on Hulu, it feels long. But during those hundred seconds, the stage crew in Studio 8H of 30 Rock has to deconstruct the cold open set and make way for the opening monologue stage. Watching them scramble to do it, as this behind-the-scenes video shows, makes those hundred seconds feel incredibly short.
