The Kadam family clashes with Madame Mallory (played by Helen Mirren, photo, at right), proprietress of a celebrated French restaurant, after they open their own nearby eatery, until undeniable chemistry causes the Madame to take gifted young chef Hassan (played by Manish Dayal) under her wing.Mirren is getting older, of course, but, then who isn't? (Dead people, as Rico well knows.) The film was very good looking (with several love affairs going on, in a sort of Montague-and-Capulet manner), and full of a lot of food, both Indian (dot, not feather) and French. Well worth seeing...
