Idiot, charged

Robert Moran has an article in The Philadelphia Inquirer about a local moron:
A Drexel University student has been charged with a misdemeanor for driving his BMW down the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art last month (photo, above).
Emin Faki, twenty, was arrested and charged with recklessly endangering another person, according to court records. He was released on his own recognizance with a court date set for 18 December 2013.
The episode was recorded on video and went viral on the Internet. Faki can be seen driving the BMW gingerly down the steps in a zigzag pattern, then speeding off after he reaches the bottom. He later told police that his brakes had failed. Police had said that Faki could be charged with felony vandalism for damaging the steps.
Rico says there is, alas, no 'felony stupidity' crime, but there should be...
