I just received the exact same email and looked him up. That's when I found your blog post. This person sent this crazy email and tried to say it was from our science department at a large university in southern California. Wonder if he's hacked into something or what the purpose is for it to be in German. I spoke German as a child when I lived there, so I understand what the email says, but most people wouldn't.
