A clue for the clueless

Rico says that The New York Times (among others) keeps misspelling SEAL as Seal in news reports.
For those who fail to grasp the difference, this is a seal:

It's cute and cuddly. People kill them for their fur.
This, on the other hand, is a SEAL:

Cute, maybe. Cuddly, no. People try to kill them, but usually they kill other people...
