Courtesy of my friend Bill Calloway, this from an email about a meeting between auto executives and some whippersnapper from the Obama administration, when the issue of the "laws of physics" came up regarding the use of batteries to drive automobiles:

These laws of physics? Whose rules are those? We need to change that. (Some of the others wrote down the name of the law so they could look it up.) We have the Congress and the Administration behind this. We can repeal that law, amend it, or use an executive order to get rid of that problem. That's why we are here, to fix these sort of issues.

Rico says that, if true, this is a classic case of using the wrong guys to solve the problem...

Rico says (later) that Bill Calloway belatedly checked this story on Snopes and reports that it's false (or too good to be true, whichever)...
