Rico got the 1968 issue of Playboy containing a favorite story (The Chronicle of the 656th), and discovered the author, George Byram, wears an eyepatch. What a nice coincidence... (Good-looking patch, too.)Turns out (not a surprise) that there were some George Byram's back in the Civil War, too. There's George Logan Byram, CSA, Commandant of War Prison Barracks Three, and some others, but you can look 'em up yourself.
