An infamous day, today

Sixty-seven years ago, right... about... now (actually just before eight am, Hawaiian time), the Japanese dropped the first bombs onto the roadstead at Pearl Harbor and started the US portion of the Second World War. (Everybody else had been in it since 1939.) President Roosevelt said it best: it was a day that would live in infamy. (Click the post title for the AP story of the original attack and today's ceremony, and go here for an excellent exposition by the Tanker Brothers on the day.)
