That's the problem with justice in this country

Slate magazine is reporting that the jury in the first Guantanamo case only sentenced bin Laden's driver to five and a half years for supporting al-Qaeda. Since the judge has already promised to credit him for time served, he could be out in five months. The Bush administration, of course, has threatened to keep him inside the wire indefinitely. Since you traditionally don't release POWs until the war's over, and this one may never be over in our lifetimes, he may be in Cuba a long time...
