Too bad, Rico liked the shark thing

The Wall Street Journal reports on-line that Stephan Beckert, research director at TeleGeography, is discounting the various conspiracy theories about the recent series of failures of several undersea cables connecting the Middle East to the internet: “It might have been sharks with laser beams on their heads but I’m guessing it’s not."

Rico says lasers don't work well in water (something about the absorption of light), but it's a great image...
