The Taliban

Rico's friend Kelley commented on the article in The New York Times about the poppy harvest in Afghanistan:
As I understand it, the cartels that deal opium in Afghanistan (and other places) have warehouses full of the stuff. You could wipe out the entire crop for a couple of years yet they wouldn't run out. That just drives up the street price and does nothing about supply. I think we should station SEAL teams astride various mountain passes (backed up by armed drones) and force the smugglers to sell to us. Keep what we need for medicinal purposes, and destroy the rest.
