The man who created Scotland’s identity

The BBC has an article (and its usual unbloggable video; go there to see it) by Alastair Sooke about Sir Walter Scott:

Although an important part of Britain, Scotland will always be fiercely proud of its unique character and national identity. Many of these traits can be traced back to the nation’s most famous writer, Sir Walter Scott.
Sir Walter Scott is well known for his poetry and historical novels, such as Ivanhoe and Rob Roy. His presence is everywhere and, although made a baronet by the British, it seems he is the unofficial King of Scotland.
And it was one particular event, which Scott masterminded, that changed the way the rest of the world sees Scotland. Alastair Sooke visited Edinburgh to find out more.
Rico says the video is interesting, if you're into Scottish history or Sir Walter Scott...
