2015 Veterans' Day

The International Business Times has an article by Rebecka Schumann about Veterans Day:
In honor of Veterans Day 2015, several restaurants chains will be paying tribute to active and retired members of the armed forces by giving them free meals. Keep in mind, almost all of the businesses listed below require that proper identification (such as a military ID) is provided in order to participate in their offers.
Here's a list of where to get your freebies on 11 November:
California Pizza Kitchen: Snag a free entrée at participating California Pizza Kitchen locations. The fourteen meal choices will be included as part of a special Veterans Day menu. A few of the items that will be available include the chain's original BBQ chicken pizza, a full-size Thai Crunch salad and Kung Pao spaghetti with chicken. The offer is valid for dine-in customers only. (Note: airport locations, stadiums, international locations, and the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada are not participating in this promotion.)
Red Robin: If you’re in the mood for a burger, head to Red Robin. The chain is giving away free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries at its restaurants. In addition to the free meal, Red Robin is also giving its military Red Robin Royalty members a twenty percent discount at its various locations from 12 November to 31 December.
Outback Steakhouse: Enjoy a free Bloomin’ Onion appetizer and drink at participating Outback Steakhouse locations. If you’re unable to get your freebie this Veterans Day, don’t fret; for the first time ever, the restaurant is offering a rain check to those currently deployed to redeem when they return. Military families will also receive fifteen percent off their meals from 12 November through 31 December.
Applebee’s: More than two thousand Applebee’s locations will be offering several menu items for free to veterans and active military this Veterans Day. Their Thank You Meal menu includes various signature items, such as a house sirloin steak, American Standard All-In Burger and Oriental Chicken Salad. This offer is valid for dine-customers only.
Hurricane Grill & Wings: You can get a free meal and a non-alcoholic drink when you visit any participating Hurricane Grill & Wings location. Menu items included in the offer range from wings, to a grilled chicken caesar salad, tacos, and more.
Buffalo’s Cafe: While no Veterans Day menu was available for Buffalo’s Cafe, the restaurant is giving away free meals on 11 November.
Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt: After you’ve enjoyed your free meals, travel over to Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt for some dessert. The yogurt chain is giving away free six-ounce frozen yogurt and toppings all day long.
Peet's Coffee: If you're in the mood for coffee after your dessert, visit one of Peet's Coffee's two hundred locations to get a complementary coffee or tea.
Rico says it's been a long time coming; we haven't seen this attitude since the Korean War... (But Rico serving in Vietnam would not have been worth a free meal once a year.)
