Another one gone

al-Jazzera has an obituary by Ibrahim Al-Marashi, an assistant professor in the Department of History at California State University at San Marcos and the co-author of Iraq’s Armed Forces: An Analytical History, for Tariq Aziz, dead at 79:

Aziz (photo), the Iraqi foreign minister and deputy prime minister, was, for decades, the most public face of Saddam Hussein's government.
