Robert Golden Armstrong, Jr., known as
R. G. Armstrong (7 April 1917 to 27 July 2012), was an American actor and playwright. A veteran character actor who appeared in dozens of Westerns over the course of his forty-year
career, he may be best remembered for his work with director
Sam Peckinpah.
Rico says that
Armstrong was a friend, many years back, of
Rico's father, and appeared in quite a number of Western movies, as
Rico discovered in
Stagecoach to Tombstone.
