D-Day anniversary in Normandy

Slate has a video by Reuters about D-Day:
To celebrate the seventieth anniversary of D-Day, three British World War Two–era planes— a Lancaster bomber and two Spitfires— performed a flyby over Arromanches Beach in Normandy today. The aerial salute was a part of many ceremonies taking place in the French town, as world leaders and veterans— as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge— came from around the world to commemorate the historic event.
