Movie review for the day

Rico says that, with Netflix, sometimes you strike gold and sometimes you get sandbagged... Fortunately, the ladyfriend picked Meant to Be:

When twenty-year old Nathan Burr (played by Bradley Dorsey) loses his career and his girlfriend, he questions his purpose in life. Compounding his struggle, Nathan grew up in a foster home and never met his birth mother. He sets out on a quest to find his mother and somehow come to terms with her rejection of him. His journey begins by flying to the city where he was born. Upon his arrival, Nathan checks into a hotel and meets Mave (played by Della Reese) the hotel's housekeeper. Encouraged by Mave's wisdom and the help of a hotel guest, Shelly (played by Kristen Renton), Nathan finds the address of his mother, Linda Dixon (played by Erika Eleniak). Linda is a social worker who agonizes over the decision she made about Nathan twenty years ago. In an effort to admonish the guilt of giving up her son, Linda is caught up in the life of a teenage mother, Tori (played by Erin Sossoman) who is conflicted by the decision to abort her baby. When Nathan gathers the courage to meet his mother, he uncovers a terrible secret that totally redefines his very existence...

With recognizable stars like Eleniak, Reese, Dean Cain, and Michael Gross, you'd've thought it was a good possibility. Unfortunately, it was made by the leading man, Bradley Dorsey (a little young for the job, in Rico's opinion, even though he only spent a quarter million dollars to make it), and turned out to be a ninety-minute anti-abortion diatribe.
