Another great one gone

The New York Times has an obituary by William Yardley:

Sean Potts, 83, master of the tin whistle and a founder of the Chieftains, has died. Potts learned to play the tin whistle from his grandfather in the 1930s and took stirring solos onstage as a member of the traditional Irish band.
