It is good to be the prince

SmartPlanet has an article about yet another instance of excessive excess:
If long-haul flights take up too much of your time, perhaps reserving a supersonic jet is for you. The Spike Aerospace S-512 promises to cut long-haul flights, which can take up to 23 hours, depending on your destination, in half in comparison to today's commercial carriers. A creation of Boston-based Spike Aerospace, with engineers formerly from companies including Airbus, the supersonic carrier is intended to become tomorrow's preferred form of business travel.
Each one will only set you back between sixty and eighty million dollars.
The S-512's current specifications state the jet can fly at a speed of 1,100 mph, and can comfortably seat between sixteen and eighteen passengers. Complete with two engines, the plane is 131 feet in length with a wingspan of sixty feet, and  a maximum range of four thousand miles.
If you're interested, the firm says that deliveries will begin in December of 2018. However, considering that US administrators currently ban supersonic flights over the country, due to the boom when breaking the speed of sound, the company is likely to encounter problems if it wants to launch the product within the United States.
Rico says he wouldn't want one, even if he could afford one, just because of all the upkeep...
