A silly, but harmless, Philly tradition

Philly.com has a photo spread about the Mummers:
Mummers strut their stuff for the annual New Year's Day parade in Philadelphia. The Mummers Parade is believed to be the nation's oldest folk festival, featuring string bands, floats, and outrageous costumes.
Rico says it's one of those 'too quaint to die' traditions that Philadelphia does so well...
