A Kingsessing man has been charged after his seven-year-old stepson found a loaded gun in his book bag at school, police said Friday.
Tarron Wescott, 22, of the 5400 block of Hadfield Street, was arrested, police said. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and receiving stolen property. Wescott put the loaded .38-caliber revolver in his stepson's book bag, police said, apparently not realizing that the bag would be taken to school. The boy, a pupil at Samuel Daroff Charter School, opened his bag at the end of classes about 4 p.m. Thursday and saw the gun. He told his teacher.
"He did the right thing," said Officer Tanya Little, of the public affairs unit.

Rico says okay, some people should not be allowed to possess gubs; this guy won't be, legally, not that that'll stop him... (And why he put it in the bag in the first place is yet another unanswered question.)
