Movie review for the day

The Expendables 2 was, if only slightly, better than the first one. Someone delivered a better script (some jokes that were actually funny, at least), and Stallone (wisely) turned over direction to Simon West, director of Con Air. The acting, even with the addition of (no, no, not Alain Delon) Jean-Claude Van Damme, along with Chuck Norris, was no better.
But the planes, ah, the planes...
They started out with the same Albatross (above) as in the first film, but succeeded (if that's the word) in getting it destroyed, and were given a parting gift of a battered old Antonov An-2 biplane (below). Now, for antique plane junkies like Rico and his pilot friend Alan, this is pig heaven. For anyone else, of course, it'd be scary as shit...

Rico says he wonders if he's twisted enough to watch The Expendables 3, with the dubious addition of Nick Cage (though said to be directed by John Woo)... Probably.
