The British group Beyond the Fringe had a piece about a group that met on a mountain top to await the end of the world. When the time approached, they chanted: "Now is the end... Here is the world..." In the play, they had darkened the stage, and one of them lit a match. "Not quite the conflagration we were bank in' on, is it?" After a pause, they added: "Right, then, same time next week."
Let's hope we get to say the same tomorrow...
