Josh Voorhees has a Slatearticle about reporting in Israel:
CNN's Anderson Cooper was reporting live from Gaza recently, calmly telling viewers about the deaths of the Dallu family, a Palestinian mother and her four young children who were killed that day. In the middle of Cooper's report, a large explosion went off not far from where he was standing. He handled it a good deal better than we would have, saying merely: "Well, that was a rather large explosion".
Rico says that, given Anderson Cooper's recent self-outing, surely that should have been: "My, that was a rather large explosion."
