On 5 August 1962, actress Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her Los Angeles home, her nude corpse discovered lying face down on her bed, a telephone in one hand. Investigators find prescription medications littered throughout the room and conclude the famous actress died from a drug overdose, "probably suicide". Only three months earlier, Monroe had famously sung Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy at his 45th birthday celebration:
