Rico says the opening ceremonies were impressive (if the whole pastoral-to-industrial thing was a trifle strange), but his heart went out to the team from the Cook Islands: five guys, and they've never won a medal...

Rico says the James Bond and the Queen jumping from the helicopter was cool (even if it wasn't really the Queen)...

...but Mary Poppins? Really?

 

...and they don't play cricket in the Olympics...

...but the moths-on-bicycles was innovative...

...and the fireworks were good, too...
