Rico says that Doug Jones, from the LinkedIn group American Civil War (1861-1865) Living Historians, had an announcement:

We finally had to delete one member for repeated inappropriate comments. This action came only after private attempts to fix the problem were met with a personally abusive response. I apologize to the group for the delay in my acting, but I have been on a brief vacation for the last week.
Since we now have 546 members, that makes a failure rate of .001831% in our forum; not bad at all for a group that discusses topics that can generate strong feelings.
