Seems they never read a book on proper grammar like this one, and continue to do things that horrify Rico, like putting the final period in a sentence inside a quote (as in 'The judge made a ruling that the convicted's "sentence fits the crime."') and, the most egregious of all, putting an apostrophe S after a word that already ends in an S (as in Hughes's).
Shameful...
