Rico says history continues to amaze him, including a letter found in Dear Mr. President, Letters to the Oval Office from the Files of the National Archives by Dwight Young, a collection of letters to the President of the United States. The letter is from a twelve-year-old, written in 1940, to then-President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, asking for a 'ten dollar bill green american', because he'd never seen one. Not totally surprising, if a bit cheeky, except for the identity of the writer: Fidel Castro.
Yup, that Fidel, twenty years before he made trouble for several more American presidents...
Rico says he's still making trouble, by keeping Rico and his father from visiting Cuba. Not that people haven't tried before, but, hell, he's 84, he could die...
