Donald Trump told the co-hosts of The View today that it's too early to think about a running mate for his presidential bid. He's still deciding whether to run. "I'm thinking about it very strongly," he said. "I think I'd do a really good job. I'd protect this country like it's not being protected. It's funny: so many of the things I say politicians are saying, hey, that's right."
Barbara Walters started out by asking him if he thinks his three marriages would bother voters if he decides to run. "I think the country is doing so badly they want somebody that's going to help it," said Trump, shrugging off the marriage issue. "I think the country has never been in a position like it is right now. It's being ripped off by every nation, every intelligent nation in the world - whether it's China - they're taking our jobs, they're making all our product... whether it's OPEC, they're having a field day now... How about the Arab League? They say we want you to go in and attack Libya. These are the wealthiest countries in the world. Why aren't they paying us?" Getting back to Walters' question, he said, "I think maybe ten years, five years ago, it would have mattered. I think people want somebody to protect them and protect the country." Said Trump, who would run as a Republican: "Every poll is saying I'm the one that does the best. In a recent CNN poll, I was the only one essentially tied with Obama. We'll see. I haven't made a decision. I'll do a good job if I decide yes, and if I win."
They grilled him about Obama's birth certificate because of remarks he has made questioning it. "I want him to show his birth certificate! There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like," said Trump.
Said Whoopi, getting angry: "That's the biggest pile of dog mess I've heard in ages. It's not 'cuz he's black is it?"
"Has nothing to do with that," said Trump.
"Because when you become president of the United States of America, you know he's American. I"m sorry," she said, "that's BS."

Oh, what can we dig up on him?
Rico says Donald Trump on almost anything is usually stupid, but Ann Oldenburg has an article at USAToday.com about really stupid stuff:
