On 20 June 20 1967, boxer Muhammad Ali was convicted in Houston of violating Selective Service laws by refusing to be drafted. The conviction was later overturned by the Supreme Court.
On 20 June 1900, Chinese 'Boxers' and soldiers besieged foreigners and Christians in the Legation Quarter of Peking. The siege lasted for nearly two months before the Boxer Rebellion was put down by multi-national forces.
