Rico says they shoulda made it 45 cents, but he was working hard in 1944, too, so it's okay. Mauldin's book Up Front was one of his earliest reads, and he still treasures it. If you haven't read it, get it out of the library or buy it from Amazon; still some of the best war stuff out there. Too bad there's no equivalent for the current conflicts; Mauldin could have done well with Willie and Joe in Afghanistan...
