Because, you dumb sumbitch

Rico says he inserts serial commas into other people's words before posting them here.
One, because he can.
Two, because it's the right thing, even if most people don't get it.
Why?
Because, as Rani Cochran (then at Apple with Rico) explained, it all started with a book dedication:
I would like to thank my parents, Ayn Rand and God.
Imagine how differently that would read with a comma after Ayn Rand...

  1. Reminds me of the difference made by the placement of a period in a telegram:

    1st telegram:

    YOUR UNCLE HAS DIED AND LEFT YOU A MILLION. THANKS FOR PAST FAVORS.

    Correction that follows:

    YOUR UNCLE HAS DIED AND LEFT YOU. A MILLION THANKS FOR PAST FAVORS.
