Another reason to avoid Gates machines

Mashable.com has an article by Stan Schroeder about another little Microsoft problem:

In an operation dubbed Aurora, Chinese hackers have used a previously undiscovered security hole, existent in several major versions of Internet Explorer, to gain unauthorized access to data belonging to a couple of targeted individuals. Microsoft has since tried to downplay the significance of the security hole, but it was undoubtedly a serious issue for the company, and now it’s finally issued a fix. The patch updates all supported versions of Internet Explorer, from IE 5.01 (though, if you’re still using that version, you’re probably asking for trouble) to IE 8. If your browser wasn’t automatically updated, you can download the patch over at www.microsoft.com/security

Rico says you can do that, or you can throw your Gates machine out in the trash and go buy a real computer from Apple; an iPad, say, come next week...
