It is by the Coen brothers, so don't be surprised if A Serious Man is a little strange. A little Jewish, too, given the characters, played by the likes of Richard Kind, Fyvush Finkel, Adam Arkin, and a bunch of other folks you'll recognize from movies and television. But, hey, a bar mitzvah and three rabbis, what would you expect? The girlfriend and I, neither of whom is Jewish, laughed like hell. Go see it.
