Taking it too far

Rico says he surely has no love for the cross (and thinks it's a barbaric symbol, actually), but putting this one in a box is stupid, and making them tear it down is ridiculous. But the fact that it's on federal land is problematic (as if, in 1934, anyone in the federal government would have cared); that can easily be solved by someone putting up the money to buy, say, an acre of land that includes the rock in question, thus making it a stupid cross that's on private land, and thus unarguable, even by the ACLU...
