Rico says he loves the guy and hates the guy, and for the same reasons. He writes incredibly well (far better than we deserve), and he gets paid to do a job which, by anyone's standards, is pretty cushy:
I write only twice a week, and only 740 words each time... I decide where to travel and when. And I have total editorial freedom to take whatever stance I want on an issue... I have total freedom, and an almost unlimited budget, to explore.
Rico says that, for a writer, it don't get any better than that. Figuring an annual salary of at least $100,000 (and he's worth that, surely), that's more than a buck a word, every word. Rico would take that job (not that it's being offered) in a heartbeat...
