Somebody finally said no to the stupid woman*

Tony Hicks of the Contra Costa Times has an article about Madonna and her adoption fetish:
In a surprise move, a judge on Friday rejected Madonna's request to adopt a second child from Malawi, and said it would set a dangerous precedent to bend rules requiring that prospective parents live there for some period. The judge then said he still thought she was great in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Madonna's lawyer, Alan Chinula, said later Friday he's filed an appeal. He said no date was immediately set. The country's child welfare minister had come out in support of the pop star's application to adopt three-year-old Chifundo "Mercy" James. But, in a lengthy ruling Friday, Judge Esme Chombo sided with critics who have said exceptions should not be made for the star, who has set up a major development project for this impoverished, AIDS-stricken southern African country. Chombo said foreigners have adopted children from Malawi, but the only case in which some residency requirement was waived was when Madonna took David Banda out of the country in 2006 before that adoption was finalized in 2008.
"It is necessary that we look beyond the petitioner ... and consider the consequences of opening the doors too wide," the judge said. "By removing the very safeguard that is supposed to protect our children, the courts ... could actually facilitate trafficking of children by some unscrupulous individuals."
The judge praised the "noble" work Madonna's charity has done to feed, educate and provide medical care for some of Malawi's more than 1 million orphans. Chombo said the girl is receiving "suitable" care in an orphanage, which contrasted with David's situation.
Madonna first traveled to Malawi in 2006 while filming a documentary on the devastating poverty and AIDS crisis, and later decided to adopt children from the country. After the ruling Friday, journalists saw Madonna, looking relaxed and even cheerful, touring a village near Lilongwe, where she is building a school. She did not speak to reporters. Reports later said she planned to appeal the ruling.
Critics accused Madonna of using her fame and money to fast-track the adoption, but the singer said she had followed standard procedures. She faced similar allegations when she brought home David, who is now three. In court papers, Madonna said Chifundo's grandmother was unable to care for her. The girl's mother, according to the affidavit, died at age fourteen, not long after her baby was born. There was no mention of the father in the affidavit.
Rico says he's amazed that anyone, especially a fan, is willing to not bend the rules for Madonna just because she's Madonna...
*Rico says he changed it to 'stupid woman' from 'bitch' because someone commented (hey, it wasn't Anonymous, either) that my use of that phrase implied that I knew her personally (which they correctly doubted)...

Madonna has adopted 1 child how is that a fetish. You also call her a bitch as though you know her, which I doubt. Saying something just for the shock value isn't informative.

I think that stupid woman needs to move to Malawi, open an orphonage and be the director. Like that she can have all the children she wants.
