Now they'll shoot back

The AP has an interesting twist to the Athens rioting:
Greece's police chief says gunmen who sprayed Athens riot police with automatic weapons fire used the same rifle used in another attack on a police bus nearly two weeks ago. This has raised concerns that an extremist group is at work. A policeman was seriously wounded in the pre-dawn attack Monday and is listed in critical but stable condition after surgery.
Police chief Lieutenant General Vassilis Tsiatouras says an automatic rifle and a handgun were used in the attack. He says ballistics tests on twenty-seven bullet casings show the rifle is the same as one used in a 23 December shooting against a riot police bus in Athens. None of the police on the bus was injured in that attack.
Rico says doing this in any city in America would garner a vicious response from the police; he suspects Athens will be no different...
