The other big event of November

Rico says he got all caught up with his buddy Tex and Marine Corps Birthday on the Tenth, and totally forgot the Fifth of November, the "Gunpowder Treason and Plot". This guy (who was actually named Guy, even though he adopted the name Guido, and may be, for those of us who are guys, the derivation of the term 'guy' through the childs' game of 'Penny for the Guy') was executed (hanged, drawn, and quartered, actually; they were nothing if not thorough in those days) for attempting to assassinate King James I by blowing up the House of Lords back on 5 November 1605. He also gave us Guy Fawkes Night (which Rico forgot to celebrate again this year).
