Sarah goes head to head with Tina

Rumors about the Republican candidate for vice president appearing on Saturday Night Live have swirled for weeks. CNN reported Thursday that Palin would pop up on the show this weekend, and the McCain-Palin campaign confirmed her appearance on Friday. There's no word on what she'll be doing on the show, or whether former SNL regular and Palin doppelganger Tina Fey will join her. (Fey, by the way, appears on The Late Show with David Letterman Friday night, and since Letterman pretapes his Friday shows, you can see her discuss how she puts together her Palin impression.)
Senators John McCain and Barack Obama have each made appearances on SNL during the long campaign, as has Obama's rival for the Democratic nomination, Senator Hillary Clinton. That leaves Obama's running mate, Senator Joe Biden, as the odd man out in the Saturday Night Live club so far, but there are two more live shows before election day. Josh Brolin, who plays President Bush in Oliver Stone's new film W., is hosting Saturday's show.
Rico says if Tina Fey doesn't come out and do her Palin act alongside Palin, he'll be disappointed. And if they can get Brolin to do George Bush, too, that'd be even sweeter...
