Historic, either way

Rico says he finally realized (well, not just now, but recently) that this election will truly be historic, no matter who wins.
The Republicans win and we get a female vice president.
That's a first.
The Democrats win and we get a black president.
That's a first.
The Republicans win and we get a president older than any other elected president.
That's a first.
The Democrats win and we get a rich white guy as vice president.
That's not a first. Or a second. Or even a third...
