More people playing catchup

Fortune and CNN have an on-line article on the major 'competitors' to the iPhone: Vu from LG, Xperia X1 from Sony Ericsson, Instinct from Samsung, Voyager from LG (with its full QWERTY keypad inside, this is a lot like an industrial design project for a phone that Rico created back at CMU, circa 1974; would that he'd patented it), Diamond from HTC (running on Windows Mobile from Microsoft, gawd help 'em), N2 from Neonode (though the Swedes are using Windows Embedded CE 6.0; they're doomed), and Omnia from Samsung (also running Windows Mobile 6.1).

Rico says good luck to all of them; they all have a long way to go to even get in the running with the iPhone, much less catch up to it. (And is there only one form factor available in this world? They all look like someone handed an iPhone to a design team and said "copy this without actually copying this"...)
