In more non-internet data on the state of Rico's head, I always seem to wake up (or soon thereafter) with some song running through my head. No particular reason (especially since I don't consider myself very musical), but there you are. Today's was Take It to the Limit (One More Time) by the Eagles (click the post title if you need the history).
I was also blessed with a little extra sleep, which was good because I was awake for awhile in the wee hours. But about the time I was waking up anyway (at 7.30, according to the clock), my smaller and newer cat Bud decided to jump up on the bed and see if I was awake. Speak of the devil, I said, and that required me looking up the derivation of the phrase here: "used when an object of discussion (normally a person) unexpectedly becomes present during the conversation". Interestingly enough (at least to a word freak like Rico), the same phrase also exists in some two dozen other languages; the Devil's a popular guy. (Along with wolves, the sun, tigers, and trolls, depending on your cultural background.) Not much else exciting yet today (it's only ten o'clock), but we'll add stuff as it comes along...
