CNN has an article on a skirmish along the Pakistani border. Details are still confused, but it looks like the Pakis got into it with some group of Afghanis, and things degenerated from there, ending up with a dozen dead Pakistani soldiers: "Several Pakistani news outlets and field observers with the Pakistan Institute of Peace said Afghan troops attacked a checkpoint in Mohmand Agency, a disputed region named for a Pashtun tribe, the Mohmands. Pakistani troops tried to re-take the checkpoint, and the two sides clashed... NATO troops came to the area to assist Afghan soldiers."
