The "John in North Carolina" blog is always cogent and interesting, but today's is especially so:

"In view of the rain and cold, I'll dispense with my prepared speech and just tell you ten things you should all hate about Bush and America. And I'll keep it to five minutes, which is more time than Lincoln used at Gettysburg."

In one sentence he demolishes Barbara Kingsolver's leftist tirade at the Duke commencement and honors the Gettysburg Address. Rico says that's fucking brilliant...
