Seems the Dalai Lama has offered to allow the Chinese to examine his offices, his pulse, his 'stools', and his urine to determine if he's the 'mastermind' behind the recent rioting in Tibet.
You gotta hand it to those Buddhists; they know what needs to be checked out...
But he says they either stop the violence, on both sides, or he resigns.
As Dalai Lama, he can't really 'resign', but it is possible for him to refuse (we're talking cosmology here) to be reincarnated once he dies, thus breaking the chain.
But he's trying: "On violence, it's wrong. We should not develop anti-Chinese feelings. We must live together side by side," he said. "Independence is out of the question."
